CHRISTIAN MOERLEIN CINCINNATI/ PARKERSBURG WV BOTTLE beer bottle. Christian Moerlein the famous Cincinnati Ohio brewer who passed away in 1897. Moerlein established a brewing branch at 2nd and Juliana Streets Parkersburg WV prior to 1907. This example has a large STAR and Parkersburg WV below the Moerlein logo. The bottle was manufactured by S.B.&G. Co. Streator Bottle & Glass Company, Streator, IL (1881-1905)Bottle has a greenish tint and is embossed with Moerlein Co. logo, a 5 point STAR, and Parkersburg, W.VA.. Bottom has S.B.&G. Co embossed. Plenty of bubbles in glass. Thick and uneven bottom, one small nick on the lip, and wear marks.
