The center gemstone is a lovely stunning rich purple round faceted Amethyst measuring a large 5mm .This center is then supported by 14 stunning fiery Opals measuring 2.5mm . They are just as stunning as the beautiful center Amethyst . We do not do milky washed out Opals here at Mondiall. These have real fire as you can see from the images. The contrast between the purple of the Amethyst and the fire of the Opals against the White of the solid gold is gorgeous. The piece reveals a secret compartment by simply releasing the clasp on the side. As the piece is hinged it opens up a full 90 degrees. Words can not describe how much I adore this ring. Along the shank/ band is the most beautiful carving which flows all the way round the shank/band. Made famous by the French femme fatale, Lucrezia Borgia who dispatched her suiters with poison hidden inside the ring(allegedly).
