This Confederate jacket was new when I purchased it 5 years ago. I bought this from a guy that has been making civil war clothing for years. The jacket is historically accurate in every way, from the (slave wool fabric) jeanwool to being 100% hand sewn & wood buttons. This style jacket has never was never given an exact manufaturer, but was believed to have been made at the Mobile, Ala. arsenal. To my knowledge, no one has been able to confirm where it was made, which has caused it to be referred to as (The Mystery Jacket). This is a size 42 coat and has not been worn very many times at all and is still very clean. This thing hand stitched and top stitched like the maker was on some kind of special mission. It could easily be a nice display in any museum. This a great campaigner jacket for sure. Thanks for looking & take a look my other items as well. The measurements for the jacket are as follows; The sleeves measuring from the shoulder seam to the cuff is 26" measuring from armpit to armpit across the front laying flat is 21.5" maybe 22" and from the base of the collar to the bottom hem down the back of the jacket is also 21.5". I also combine shipping when practical. Continental US shipping only please! Thanks!
