Continuing in the tradition of their famous father, Alfredo Vilchis (nicknamed "Leonardo de Vilchis de Lagunilla"). Daniel brings a unique style to the subjects he explores. We offer two circus themed pieces by him.Depicted is one womans thanks for the success of her elephants in the circus. "Jancinta Lopez thanks the Virgin of Guadalupe because her elephant act did OK and also because the birth of the baby elephant went fine since they are her means of living, that is why she brings this retablo. 6 January 1985." A recently produced piece by Daniel, the votive painting is on sheet metal, measuring approximately 11.75 inches tall by 10.0 inches wide. Signed lower right of painting. Also depicted is one man's thanks for being kept from harm. "Eugenio Torres gives thanks to the Virgin of Guadalupe who saved him from dying when a horse from his show went crazy. That's why he brings this retablo. 25 January 1985."Also a recently produced piece by Daniel, the votive painting is on sheet metal, measuring approximately 9.75 inches square.
