Vintage glass ashtray from "Buckets" Goldenberg's Pappy's Restaurant in Milwaukee. "Buckets" was the owner and manager of Pappy's, (which burned down in 1958) after his retirement from the Green Bay Packers in 1945. He played from 1933-45 with the Packers under Coach Curly Lambeau and was a major player in their Championship seasons in '36, '39 and '44! He was all-pro 5 times, and was inducted into the Packer Hall of Fame in 1971. He was on the Packers Board of Directors from 1953-85. Before the Packers, Goldenberg was an All-American at Wisconsin, and a star at North and West Division High School. He was inducted into the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame in 1974. This is a great item for football history, Packer History, Wisconsin history and Milwaukee history (Pappy's was actually in Glendale)! It is in excellent vintage condition with a couple of minor nicks. Please review all photos for best description. Will be packaged carefully and shipped quickly to winning bidder!
