Time. You know it could have been different for him. A little luck, a chance turn -- maybe, a MOMA curator sees a homeless guy selling art. understands the circumstances of its creation, the characters and the Dickens-like environment in which it's produced - makes the art and artist unique. Later, a museum exhibit, "ART of THE STREET" showcases the works of the homeless here and there. Articles are then written, books are then published, galleries are then showing, auctions are then held, art is then sold, money then flows -- then what?. Then with the money earned, Seth publishes his graphic novel, "Street Life" and starts a homeless art collective. One day, Hollywood decides to make a movie of this life, an inspirational story of how from the streets one can overcome and ascend. To move the narrative, the scriptwriter uses Seth's 4 alter-egos as the movie's Ghosts of Time ....past, present, future, and foreverThe movie opens with figure sitting, asleep, sharpie pen in hand, cardboard as canvas on lap -- motionless as if dead, but only deep in sleep. Here he waits for the morning commute to start with his potential customers arriving and leaving, a constant flow of lookers. He'll sell his "illustrations" of the homeless characters, his alter egos showing those who note that he's not panhandling -- of course a donation would help, read the other side of his sandwich board. He's in the present, a sort of Daddy Long Legs existence as shown by that character's actions. Justin Unwell, a play on the words of "not ad justing well" (Justin Unwell) to now being homeless.Photo 4/5*: Daddy Long Legs(DLL) [undated, ≈ 5 x 8" piece of paper* ] - at Present he hustles, DLL wanted to believe in good but always suspected otherwise.Photo 6/7: John Doe [dtd 13Dec2018, ≈ 6.5 x 9" piece of paper ] -- his Future awaits, this Insect Druggie addicted to the insecticide, specifically produced to kill him.Photo 8/9: The Man who Walks the Line between Good and Evil [dtd 2018, ≈ 6.5 x 9" piece of paper ] Forever with us, from the past, during the present, and in the future is that Line between Good and Evil (for who would cut that line between good and evil from their heart?)Photo 10: Seth himself* blood stains on the paper, a technique Seth used during this time (see the pages of his notebook shown in current listing "Crisis of Faith Prayer")._______________________________________________________________________________________________________________Original Art from homeless artist Seth Carus (see last photo). These pieces (see other listings) were purchased from Seth between 2018 and 2019 at the San Francisco's MUNI & BART Embarcadero station's entrance/exit. Seth usually drew these with ink markers on found paper/cardboard and then sold them.
