I got this coin as a gift, new, from a friend of my father's, from Venezuela, over 50 years ago. I've taken it out of it's leather case several times, but it's otherwise never left the wooden cigar box where I've kept all my trinkets since I was a kid.OK... so here's the story on the eBay market value of these things:There are currently 11 of these on eBay (I didn't count the really small ones as you'll see) and I just did an analysis of what their asking prices are, and how much of a premium they represent over their actual melt value.Much to my surprise, the premiums these sellers are trying to get range from a low of 47% to a high of 105%, for an average premium of 62.9%. That seems a little excessive to me & of course they don't really sell at that high of a premium. Of course eBay & PayPal take out about 13% of the total selling price combined, which lowers that premium substantially. So I'm offering this one for a quick sale, at a 30% premium (less than half of the average premium the others are asking) over its actual melt value which comes out to $688.50 & after eBay & PayPal fees that leaves me with only $599 net, for a premium of only 13%. After my shipping costs, the net premium is actually less than 10%. If the gold market continues to rise as expected, my price may actually represent a return below spot value for me, read more
