Arcane Scenery and Model Supplies presents: Italeri 1/35 scale Siluro Lenta Corsa 200 "Maiale". Siluro Lenta Corsa is a slow moving torpedo and 'Maiale' translates into 'Pig'! The idea was developed by the Italians in WWII to get a manned torpedo or explosive charge under the hull of the enemy ship when the crew would leave and set the explosive warhead off. The Italian forces enjoyed some success with this weapon sinking or damaging over 16 ships. This kit includes two crew for the gun, is new, boxed and in mint condition. The kit number is 5605. It is one of the new generation of Italeri kits and as well as superb detailed plastic moldings it includes metal photo etched parts and a photographic reference manual. Italeri produce excellent quality kits that are designed for the serious modeller. These kits are ideal for conversion or as a basis for a super detailing project.
