From Estate in New England: Vintage & gorgeous, classic "Old Hickory" Kitchen Knife Set consisting of four (4) of these American made, carbon steel Knives marked on left blade flats with the famous scimitar logo of the "Tru-Edge" ... "Ontario Knife Co." brand. These vintage Old Hickory blades featured best quality U.S. made carbon steel blades and Hickory hardwood scales of course. These four (4) Kitchen Knives are as follows: *1) Largest of these is a serious Slicer of approx. 12 3/4" OAL with proprietary "patterned" carbon steel blade of about 8" OAL. Long blade has a slight upward arc to the forward section and comes from the factory with a flat ground edge (to mid-point) along the blade length. Straight grained, Hickory hardwood grips are double HD brass riveted to the full tang of the blade as well. Solid as Gibraltar still, this svelte Slicer has taken on a gorgeous silvery gray patina with dark freckling, typical of fine carbon steel over time. T are NO dents, dings, chips, cracks, or other "problems" visible to blade or scales. Edge has not been sharpened in decades, but is still razor sharp on this outstanding Kitchen Slicer from way back when.(See Photos) **2) The next largest of these Knives is an equally desirable Butcher Knife of approx. 11 3/4" OAL which carries a six (6) inch long blade which measures about 1 3/8" read more
