>Offered here for auction is an old and original 1950 Brooklyn Dodgers media guide! Please see all four scans. This Brooklyn Dodgers Player Roster measures approximately 9 1/2" x 4 1/4", and was printed on thick, glossy stock. Unlike the 1948 Dodger Roster guide in my other auctions, this 1950 version opens up and folds out into four sections (my scans show all four of the glossy outer sections). In addition, there are four additional pages attached inside, including info. on The Manager, His Coaches and the Lifetime Statistics of the players. There is also "A Few Facts About Some Bright New Faces", which features Bobby Morgan , "...a blond bombshell who has been called a Stanky with talent". Willard Mullin artwork adorns the front cover, picturing the iconic Brooklyn Dodgers Bum taking a toke (of somethin') with the caption "This stuff is habit formin'" . Inside the guide is a full listing of Brooklyn Dodger players, including statistics and biographical info. Burt Shotton was the manager; Branch Rickey was President and General Manager. Players listed include Ralph Branca, Clem Labine, Billy Loes, Roy Campanella, Dee Fondy, Gil Hodges, Pee Wee Reese, Jackie Robinson, Duke Snider, Cal Abrams, Malcolm Mallette and many others.
