This is a beautiful little model of two owls huddled together, one asleep and one awake and the sleeping one leaning on the other as they perch on toadstools.They are painted in that gorgeous muted palette Royal Copenhagen are so famous for. They are 3" high and 2" across at the widest point with the modeller's, Th Madsen's, monogram at the back. The date could be either 1942 or 1975/79 but as he died in 1965 I would be inclined to think that they are from 1942.
