This 12-field original production background-cel is from the episode "Homer the Smithers" (season 7, episode 17). In this episode, Homer Simpson takes over Smither's job of tending to Mr. Burns' whims. This cel of the Simpsons House at night is the opening image after a commercial break, and is also the only image of the Simpson's House exterior in the episode. The Simpsons House is a very iconic image, and that is why it was included in the Collector's Portfolio release. Just a dozen or two new Collector's Portfolio pieces have been released annually in recent years.Since Disney took over Fox, Simpsons animation has become much less available. Disney's current policy is to hold onto all original production art and only sell limited editions, sericels and other non-production pieces.
