A FULLY OVERHAULED BRITISH BLACK BAKELITE BRITISH 312F ART DECO STYLE TELEPHONE. 'Call Exchange' THE 300 SERIES WAS FIRST INTRODUCED IN THE 1930'S REPLACING THE 200 SERIES. IT BECAME THE GPO BENCHMARK TELEPHONE FOR MANY DECADES IT HAS TWIN GONG BELLS CONTAINED WITHIN THE TELEPHONE, THE LIKE OF WHICH WAS HEARD IN SO MANY FAMOUS OLD FILMS AND TELIVISION PROGRAMMES SUCH AS HEARTBEAT AND THE ROYAL IT TAKES YOU BACK TO A BYGONE ERA. The sale is for a telephone from that very nostalgic era in black bakelite.This particular model has been fully refurbished to the highest standard including the chassis and the dial which has been fully stripped and lubricated and fully adjusted to work correctly all bakelite parts have been fully polished using the correct bakelite polish. The telephone has been converted for use on today's modern system and comes in full working order, fully compatible to use with any other telephones you might have, I have had a lot of experience dealing with these telephones as I have been restoring and collecting them for over twenty years I treat every telephone as if it were going into my own collection.
