VINTAGE TIN LITHOGRAPH TOYMonkey Climbing Palm TreeEmporium Specialty Co.Circa 1950s Era- Estate Fresh - Sold With No Reserve -This delightful tin litho toy comes to you estate fresh from an old Guttenberg, New Jersey home we recently liquidated (one of those types of houses where generations never threw anything away). Found packed away among old trunks and boxes, this lot has been undisturbed for years!Made sometime in the 1950's, the Emporium Specialty Company Monkey Climbing a Palm Tree works just fine. Monkey is carried to top of tree by pulley and weight, a metal push rod knocks a steel ball - aka ball bearing (not included) into monkeys lap and down it goes as the ball weighs more than weight. Upon reaching the bottom, the ball is ejected by a metal push rod and back up the tree he goes. This neat toy shows some light wear and some paint loss in a few spots. Some tarnishing at top side of green base. Palms are all present, but some are scrunched up from being packed away. Monkey climbs tree properly and with edition of steel balls, this fella should perform as it was intended. Overall height is approx. 18 inches. PLEASE NOTE: During shipment there's a very good chance that the string will come off the pully.
