I just aquired this very rare Schoenhut Piece. The Arab Chief is a figure from the Teddy Roosevelt African Safari set. The Schoenhut Company from Philadelphia is known for its articulated toys featuring the Humpty Dumpty Circus, Farm Sets, Dolls and Pianos. The guy is hard to find and I am selling him at no reserve. 5 day auction. Please ask questions before bidding...buyer pays shipping. He is tightly strung with Original clothing ( cape has been replaced) The tunic has a hole in the front and his one pant leg also has a tear. He wears a turbin on his head and has a fuzzy beard. The paint ot his face shows some wear, but he is not bad. He still has his original cloth belt around his waste and has painted sandals on his feet. His feet and hands are in good condition ( no breaks) I know that he originally held a knife or daggar, but these accessories are not found. I have only come across this guy once in my years of selling old toys, so this is a nice find especially with his original clothing. I hope that my pictures do it justice. Let me know if I can answer any questions. Since I am selling this for a client, t are no returns. He stands about 8 " tall. Auction must be paid within 3 days of end of auction. Internationl Buyers are welcome!
