This a a stunning antique camera lens from the late 19th century. Made of lacquered brass and in lovely condition it incorporates a rotating aperture ring with 5 positions. The sizes of each aperture are marked on the ring so that the relevant figure appears on the outer edge for the aperture centred in the lens. The range of settings is f44, f32, f22, f16, and f11. There are no other markings on the lens to identify the focal length, etc, but the dimensions might give a clue. The visible diameter of the outermost lens is 34mm and the distance between the ouside lens surfaces front to back is approximately 1 inch. The outside diameter of the threaded portion of the body that would fit into the camera is approximately 1.75 inches. All the lens surfaces are clean and clear and free from scratches or chips. Paypal is the preferred form of payment and there is no charge for this service. Personal cheques, postal orders and bank drafts are acceptable but these may delay shipment while funds are cleared.
