If you are not familiar with the career of J.C. (Jack) Walton, I encourage you to look him up - it's QUITE a story! The former Mayor of Oklahoma City, OK. he was elected Governor in 1922, and inaugurated in January of 1923. He was impeached in less than a year. In an effort to curb the increasing power of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) he declared martial law in parts of Oklahoma, which was deemed to have been illegal, under the Oklahoma State Constitution. He was impeached and removed from office before the end of 1923. This badge measures a combined 2 & 1/2 inches long and is 1 & 1/2 inch wide at the widest point.
