Antique - Vintage Sessions Mantel Clock This clock is in working condition and comes with the key.Can not determine date of manufacture. No pieces missing. This clock was obtained at the liquidation of the contents of a home in a higher end neighborhood. It is clean and would be a great collectible or display piece. I do not know a lot about clocks so I will give you the information I do have: - Wood case.- Color is black & gold.- The clock works but the timing & accuracy is not guaranteed. It seems to be fairly accurate, but you would want to have an expert assist you with the timing. The clock gongs at the top of the hour, but at 8 it gongs seven times, 9 it gongs eight times, etc. A clock expert should be able to correct this. - Manufactured by the Sessions Clock Company, Forestville, Conn. USA. This company operated until the mid 1950's when it merged. The successor company liquidated in 1969.- Internal workings seem to be clean and working freely.- Gongs on the hour. A bell on the half hour.- Top of the clock has scuffs and scratching as would be expected on an older clock and some of the paint looks like it has spider veins. Again, normal for older items. This clock in my opinion does NOT need any refinishing. - Face of the clock is fairly clean showing normal aging. Small corrosion marks can be seen near the numbers 1 & 7.
