This is Beautiful handmade Antique dark brown tightly weaved rattan wicker Victorian sewing basket with domed lid. It is signed/numbered Not sure what is reads but I took a close up so you can judge for yourself. pic#5 Wood footed frame and splint wood banding. This basket also has a splint wood lip for a secure fit on the lid cover (hard to find this feature) It is very well made and is a beautiful dark brown color. One of the reed ties is missing from the foot but doesn't effect the function at all measures 7" H x 9.5" WReally more beautiful in person. a must have for a collector of baskets, sewing or primitive antiquities. Estate find I found it with 40 spools of antique thread which I am including with the basket The threads are Corticelli, Atco & Robinson all are black and ivory white.
