NEW Oldham # = 4/65 (from the revised 2011 edition) These UNIQUE New Zealand Great War era "Reinforcements" badges were created by RESIDENT Jewelers within both Trentham and Featherstone WW1 Kiwi military training camps. The jewelers within these camps would CREATE whatever their customer requested and was prepared to PAY FOR These badges were UNOFFICIAL and required no sanction from the Kiwi High Command. The designs chosen were often of New Zealand Animals and NZ Native Maori designs This type of "Frame Badge" was typically constructed from a basic frame design, with unit overlay details. The numbering system can be found in BOTH Roman and/or Arabic numerals frequently with an English language UNIT DESIGNATION Letter atop the draft or "Reinforcement" number I have encluded a scan of the superb Geoff Oldham authored "Badges & Insignia of the New Zealand Army" that shows how one can distinguish between the variations of the UNIQUE badges I do have a copy of this VITAL reference presently listed on E-bay it has an updated (2011) PRICE GUIDE and illustrates 400 additional badges NOT seen in the 1997 edition ALL my badges are GUARANTEED 100% GENUINE, the GUARANTEE is GOOD for "life" and INCLUDES the cost of POSTAGE both ways !! :-) New Zealand RESIDENT customers Postage = NZ$3.50...
