+ REYNALDO QUEZADA + Mata Ortiz Pottery + Museum Qlty Dynamic shape from this master.... Reynaldo Quezada Celado is Juan Quezada's younger brother and a Master Potter in his own right. Reynaldo has been potting since the early 70's...five years before Spencer McCallum came across Juan Quezada. He specializes in black graphite enriched pottery using a technique called tejado (indented clay that gives a braided effect). His bowls (cazuelas), plates, and ollas are in prominent collections worldwide. Every serious collection should have at least one of Reynaldo's beautiful creations. T is an excellent profile of Reynaldo in Susan Lowell's book, "The Many Faces of Mata Ortiz" on p. 169. This olla (pot) is 10" tall, 9" in diameter, with a beautifully flared and squared opening of 4 1/4". The pot is flawless and perfectly symmetrical. This pot would retail in a top US gallery for $750. A complimentary black crocheted pottery ring comes with this dazzling olla. Satisfaction & authenticity guaranteed by Larry Deming, tularosatrader. $20 USPS Priority shipping/insurance (size, value & wt) Multiple purchases can be combined for savings on shipping.
