This is a handmaid porcelain doll. I am a doll maker but this head was actually done by Emily Hart. It is made with a handmade composition body by a fine body maker, The doll is 11" tall. It is a reproduction of an AT (Anton Thuilier) Paris abut 1880. He was a fine and very well known sculptor of doll heads.. It is a total work of art.The doll is dressed by me in checked black and white antique silk .Rare antique imported laces were used to compliment the dress. Her wig is a Wendy Feidt handmade mohair wig , carefully hand curled. I gave her a bow in her hair because I didn't want to cover the exquisite wig, or mash it in any way. It is perfection. The dress is covered with tiny little silk flowers and leaves.
