15" Ideal 1930's Ideal Composition TickletoesTickletoes was made by Ideal between 1931 and 1939. Please She has composition head, rubber arms and legs, open mouth, painted teeth, tin "flirty winking" sleep eyes, painted hair. She originally had three voices: cries when each leg is squeezed and has a cry voice when put down, kapok-stuffed cloth body. None of these are working in this doll.She is marked IDEAL in a dimaond with U S of A on the four outside corners.She has a newly made Christening gown with slip, bonnet and panties, trimmed in lace and satin ribbon.The composition is in excellent condition with no cracks or crazing; the rubber arms and legs have hardened over time, with one leg collapsing due to heat, which does not take away from her beauty.She comes with a reproduction hang tag and coupon originally offering Tickletoes for $2.00, with the coupon, postpaid. It states "Squeeze my leg and I cry!" She was "the Marvelous patented BABY DOLL with "tru-flesh" rubber legs and arms and 3 voices."Please note that this doll is over 80 years old and will show normal wear for a toy this age. I have acquired a large collection of dolls, mostly composition, which I will be listing over time. I do not know the history of these dolls, whether or not they have been restored or are original, but will report what I feel is their condition. read more
