JAPANESE BUDDHIST "KURIDASHIIHAI" SHRINE Listed is a Japanese Buddhist shrine for lost loved ones or "Kuridashiihai" from the Showa period (1926~1989). Kuridashiihai are used for remembering loved ones who have passed. This item is an exquisite piece and in mint condition. The deep black lacquer and gold leaf are in great condition and the hardware is in good working order (see photos). The top comes off and thin pieces of wood are inserted with the name and age of lost loved one inscribed. This is not a "zushi" meant to house deities. This shrine has a full complement of blank wood planks. Dimensions: 10 1/4" x 3 1/2" x 2 2/5" or 26cm x 9cm x 6cm. We ship Worldwide!
