The world population reaches 1 billion people. Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 in E–flat is premiered in Vienna. Napoleon Bonaparte is proclaimed Emperor of the French by the French Senate. At his Coronation in the cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris, Napoleon crowns himself as the first Emperor of the French in a thousand years.
