Offered here is an original Extra Fine example of a hard to find 1859 Indian Head cent with strong repunched date, with all secondary digits evident to the southwest of the primary digits.. Attributed as Snow S-1 and as FS-301 (ex-006.3) in The Cherrypickers' Guide to Rare Die Varieties. This is a prize for the variety specialist and is valued at $800 in XF in the current edition of The CP Guide. Coin exhibits sharp strike and great in hand eye appeal.
