Antique covered pantry box with it's original lid, steam bent hardwood sides and lid rim, pine wood top & bottom and copper tack and wooden peg construction, with it's original old printed strip paper label pasted on the exterior front side reading "10C" in blue and "RASPBERRIES" in red and retaining in it's original old & dry natural wood surface, as found. New England , probably Maine , 1870's, probably earlier. Guaranteed old and original; this is not a fake or reproduction. Actual weight 1 lbs. 8 3/4" full outer lid diameter by 8 5/8" full base diameter by 3 3/8" tall. Antique covered pantry box with it's original lid, steam bent hardwood sides and lid rim, pine wood top & bottom and copper tack and wooden peg construction, with it's original old printed strip paper label pasted on the exterior front side reading "10C" in blue and "RASPBERRIES" in red and retaining in it's original old & dry natural wood surface, as found. This is an attractive old pantry box right out of the kitchen cupboard. Clean on the inside, the box was set aside to hold something but was never used. It looks like just sat on the cupboard shelf for 100 years after seeing light usage. The interior of the box is old clean, just as it was put away. The whole exterior of the box has a wonderful country store like smooth wood surface with wonderful age toning
