This auction is for one PCGS graded XF40, 1879 Carson City, Capped Die Variety, Morgan Silver Dollar. The coin exhibits virtually no toning and is a great specimen in this grade. Please see accompanying photos of the actual coin to make your own assessment. PCGS currently lists the value of this coin at $950.00 on their website price guide. I am starting bidding at what I believe to be a fair starting price, leaving the final price up to the winning bidder. On a side note, a similar PCGS graded XF40 79CC recently sold on EBay for $785.00. Winning bidder to make payment via Paypal, shipping will be by USPS Priority Insured Mail.
