Virginia railroad ticket signed by Confederate General James Kemper of Gettysburg fame. Kemper led one of Picketts units during Picketts charge on July 3, 1863. Earlier in the war Kemper participated in The Battle of First Bull Run,The Pininsular Campaign, Second Bull Run, Antietam, Chancellorsville, and Gettysburg. He was wounded during Picketts Charge and captured briefly by Union Forces. He was then recaptured during the retreat from Gettysburg and exchanged. Later in life Kemper was the 37th Governor of Virginia. A great piece of Confederate history.
