Neat 18th to early 19th century bed key. Used to tighten the ropes on early rope beds, it is made from a piece of wood with a shaped out bottom that has a dowel, which is missing, fitted through the top end. Weighs approximately 2 pounds, unpacked. It measures approximately 16 inches long by 2 inches wide by 1.5" thick. It has a good dry surface and a super country look. Good condition, shows nice age. Please examine photos carefully as they serve as the primary source for description and condition.
