Lovely 18th Century Chinese Export Armorial Porcelain made in 1755 for the Archer of Umberslade in Warwickshire. Examples of the set can be found in the V & A Museum. Painted in Famille Rose color enamels & gold. Elaborate Armorial with a detailed frame which includes two Chinese figures around t he arms of Archer of Umberslade in Warwickshire - Azure three broad arrows on crest Out of a mural coronet a dragon's head argent; impaling Meares of Lancaster, Gules a chevron between three bougets ermine; motto 'Fortitudo'. The piece displays nicely but has several old repairs around the scalloped rim & handle, as well as a bonding to a clean break on the spout.
