1906 Fairbanks Alaska GOLD RUSH Original photographs #31 size each - 3+1/2 x 3+1/2 inches (Kodak positives?) How do I know these are 1906??? - -The photographer and Gold Mining family traveled by ocean going steamship (the Yucatan) to San Francisco to sell gold and to bring back supplies such as picks and shovels and food (cows). Our Alaska Gold Mining family appears on photographs of the San Francisco Earthquake and FIRE of 1906 with 75 of the total 330ct photos. How many photos are selling on ebay each week? - 4 or 2 or 1 Thanks for being patient during our winter intermission from this continuing auction. photo #1 - Gold mines shack with a washtub hanging near the front door.Dog and a very long snow sled is on the left. photo #2 - This photo has a frayed edge however you can still see the boilers on the riverbank between the machine store and the river that were bought for the gold mining trade. In the long boats in the fore front is a man and his dog. photo #3 - Big thin wheel buggy with man woman and dog. photo #4 - Trips to Valdez by the Richardson trail from Fairbanks was one long way (360 miles) to acquire supplies or transport GOLD by these pack MULES.This location could be VaLDEZ??
