By removing a combination of pins from the basic hole pattern each pattern became unique to the owner of the Schermack mailing machine.This is pattern is believed to be the 16 hole experimental pattern of Schermack Company. No known commercial user. Several of these are listed on Ebay in excess of $100.Earliest usage of Schermacks with Control Perfins began late in 1909 and had a very short life span.
