1908 EXPERIMENTAL 12 HOLE SCOTT# 344 SCHERMACK w/CONTROL PERFIN DES 91-1. Perfins Catalog Des 91-1 rated A. This is the pattern of an unknown user. Control Perforations were available as an option, to prevent employee theft, on the Schermack Mailing Machines starting in late 1909. They were quite popular through 1910 after which they were slowly discontinued, first in New York and later in Detroit and Chicago. The last known usage was in 1914.
