1913-S Barber Half Dollar - PCGS VF-3 5 - Crusty, Original Surfaces 1913-S Barber Half Dollar graded VF-35 by PCGS. Choice, original surfaces with no hair lines or other distractions especially for a coin at the choice VF level. Very close to XF all the way around, but just misses the mark. Great natural color - a lovely circulated brown/silver/gold antique color. The coin has bold details; Liberty is full although most of the lower band is worn. Reverse shows wing feathers almost to the tips on each side. Nice feather detail on the neck and claws of the eagle. Shield lines are bold and fully detailed. Since 2007, there have been 6 PCGS XF40-XF45 coins auctioned by the major auction companies (Heritage Auctions, Teletrade, Stacks & Bowers and eBay) . Of the 6 PCGS coins graded XF40 or XF45, 5 have sold for between $368 and $1025 .
