Indian Head Quarter Eagles are highly prized for their distinctive incuse design with the details set into the coin and not raised as in all other coinage. These coins were minted for a very short period of time and have low mintage numbers. The government melted down huge numbers of these coins in the 1930's adding to the rarity of these quarter eagles.
