1934 Maryland Tercentenary large bronze medal by Hand Schuler Large bronze medal commemorating the Tercentenary of Maryland, by noted sculptor Hans Schuler. Bronze, 56.8 mm. OBV: Male bust three quarters right of ALBERT / CABELL / RITCHIE / GOVERNOR. Below, shield of Maryland on ribbon with dates 1634 1934. Microscopic � below ribbon at left, HS monogram below ribbon at right. Above around all TERCENTENARY OF MARYLAND. REV: Detailed scene of the landing of Leonard Calvert, Calvert holding the colonial proclamation prepared by his brother Cecil Calvert, the 2nd Lord Baltimore, who held the Royal Land Grant and Charter for the Maryland colony.
