This buckle is from the same collection as the Champion Bull Rider Buckle I listed last week. I just acquired it today. Hoyt Simmons won this Trophy Sterling Belt Buckle at the Salinas Rodeo in 1937. Buckle measures 2-7/16" across and is 2" high. Reverse marked Sterling, Visalia Stock Saddle Co. S.F. Cal. Hoyt Simmons wrote the Horsemans Veterinary Guide for Western Horseman Magazine in 1963.
