1939 Hall of Fame Induction Brochure Signed by Ruth, Cobb, Young & More. More baseball royalty than you could shake a Louisville Slugger at convened at Cooperstown to celebrate the Baseball Centennial and the grand opening of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Presented is an official program from the festivities, signed by a selection of honorees and attendees. Most notable are the inaugural class members earned bronze plaques that day: Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Cy Young, Walter Johnson and Connie Mack, though future inductees Carl Hubbell, Gabby Hartnett, Billy Herman and Hank Greenberg are likewise found among the nineteen autographs. All listed signatures rate 8/10 or better. Tape staining is present along the fold lines, the result of professional restoration, but the effects do nothing to diminish the autographs. A special artifact from one of the most memorable events in baseball history. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Grade: 0, Service: Authenticated, Service No.: 2214446
