For sale is an original advertisement illustration style pastel painting by the highly regarded artist Charles Sheldon (1894 - 1960). We have several original works by George Sheldon in our eBay store. Please see our eBay store for additional works by this well listed American artist.This work came from a private collector in Connecticut who had an extensive collection of Charles Sheldon pastel portraits in their estate.It features a portrait of a beautiful blonde hair hazel eyed woman staring directly back at the viewer. She smiles delightfully with rosy pink cheeks and fiery red lipstick.This pastel painting was most certainly one of his works for his campaign of illustrations for Brecks Shampoo Company beginning in 1936The pastels he created for Photoplay from 1925 to 1930 included glamorous depictions of Hollywood film stars like Clara Bow, Mae West, Jean Harlow, Greta Garbo, Gilda Gray, Mary Pickford, and numerous other Hollywood enchantresses.
