Another big and beautiful Japanese tin car by Ichiko and Modern Toys along with the only reproduction of the original box that I have ever seen. This 1953 fat boy Pontiac measures approximately 14" long (35.6 cm) by 4.5" tall (11.4 cm) and 7" wide (17.8 cm). Collectors generally refer to this car as a Pontiac, but Ichiko and Modern Toys called it a Super Lincoln. This original showroom red car is very nice and very impressive. The colorful litho tin interior is outstanding and compliments the bright red exterior, and of course the tuxedo dressed driver just adds to the charm. The car is complete with all original tin trim, hubcaps, and rubber tires. The friction and the siren sound work, as they should. The plastic taillights and headlights are totally original, and they look almost perfect. The celluloid windows are very nice and original. There are a couple of scattered touchups on the car, but they are hardly noticeable. There is a circular type touchup on the roof of the car, but it doesn't detract from the beauty of the car. If you like the big fat boys, along with a very rare, and very beautiful reproduction box, this one needs to be on your shelf.14-Day return privilege.
