Another big Japanese tin car by Ichiko and Masudaya along with a very nice reproduction of the original box. This 1953 fat boy Lincoln measures approximately 14" long (35.6 cm) by 4.5" tall (11.4 cm) and 7" wide (17.8 cm). Collectors have referred to this car as a 1953 Pontiac for years, but Ichiko and Masudaya called it a Super Lincoln, so that is what I'm going to stick with. This sophisticated black car is totally original and very impressive. There are no touchups on the car at all, but there are a couple of very old touchups on the whitewalls. There may be a few minute pinpricks or abrasions in the car, but they simply do not show up. The colorful litho tin interior is outstanding and adds a nice touch of color to the sinister black exterior, and of course the tuxedo-clad driver just adds to the charm. The amber headlamps just add to the drama. The car is complete with all original and extremely nice tin trim, hubcaps, and rubber tires. The friction and the siren sound work, as they should and the baseplate is original. The plastic taillights and headlights are original. The celluloid windows are original and very nice. These cars are almost impossible to find in this kind of original condition, and they do not come along often. The car along with the outstanding reproduction box makes a terrific display.14-Day return privilege. read more
