Dazzling PROOF Kennedy Half Dollar from 1964! Comprised of 90% Silver, this coin is virtually immaculate! The 1964 is both the first and last of its kind. Splendid Kennedy cameo, and deep mirror fields! This is the only year that the Kennedy was 90% SILVER , as it was the first and the last, concurrently. 1965 saw the advent of the "copper clad" silver coins, and they persist to this day. The 1965-1970 coins are comprised of 40% silver, but today's "silver," aside from PROOF coins contain NO silver at all. They're Copper and Nickel.
