Greetings ! Welcome to my Ebay sale for a very scarce & very unique note - A $ 1 1977A K 00010001 D. Yes,this note has A LOT going for it - being the very first possible repeater and it also contains the courtesy signed autographs of both then Treasurer of the U.S. Azie Taylor Morton and then Secretary of the Treasury George William Miller ( signed as G. William Miller ). This note is also a " True Binary " with the 0 & 1 combination, as well as the "K" District of Dallas being the 11th - more ones, plus being on a $1 ! It has excellent eye appeal ! This 1977A "KD" block was printed by the BEP in January of 1980 and has been carefully preserved by both myself and its previous owner in pristine condition. This note was cataloged in the Lyn Knight sale of October 2006 as being a GEM. It is in every sense of the word except for having a tighter bottom margin. Both signers are now deceased, with Mr. Miller passing in March of 2006 and Ms. Morton passing in December of 2003. This 1977A series was a transition at the end of the Carter Administration and was quickly replaced with the 1981 series notes. It's a tough one to find fancy numbers on and this is one of the best of them. Sure to enhance any collection, the wise collector will stash this rarity away - there's very unlikely another one !
