19th C. Brown Transferware HP English Footed Gravy Boat Brownfield Stylized MARIGOLD Aesthetic Victorian Welcome to our royalbert auction and adorable transferware etc store for a great English Victorian antique footed and very useful at table today beautiful work of ceramic dining room art! Ivory ironstone ground is decorated first in dark and medium Chocolate Brown transfer design of parading stylized Marigold Flowers in shield shaped "frames" Oriental scrollwork and partial Sun Flower "cookies" accent the frames. hand over painted in colors of marigold lusttre at flower centers, and golden tan, and naively at leaves in medium blue and green. Multiple borders of stylized pansy flower petals, looking like "cloud" symbols within golden tan lines! Signed as pictured with impressed Brownfield signature, dating manufacture to after 1860 and before 1871.This gravy boat measures nearly 5" tall to tip of high handle, 8" wide spout tip to handle tip, including 2" of handle, front to back 2.5" at most bulbous, while foot base is 3.5" by 2-3/8" oval. Liguid capacity is 1 and 1/4 cup.Condition: Barely Used Original antique, excellent! No cracks, chips, discoloration, stain or restoration.
