Louis Theophole Hingres (1832-1911) was an animaler artist. Born in France but dis work for Elkington & Co. in England for a period of time before moving back to France. Most of his works were in plaster, his bronze items are more rare. This Mouse is reminiscent of another animalier, Clovis Edmond Masson, who had a series of mouse bronzes. This is an action figure, the mouse appears to be hunting a large vicious fly (oh my). The fly has amazing detail. This bronze is about 4" tall and long. It looks great on the rouge marble base.Would be a great cabinet piece of a paperweight...if you like your items to work for you.Shipping costs include priority mail, insurance, and signature confirmation
