2012 ROYAL CANADIAN MINT TOONIE $2 DOLLAR WITH SECURITY FEATURES NGC CERTIFIED MS66 !! Brand New T oonie with Mint’s new security features including Laser Maple Leaf Priv ies This auction includes an NGC certified MS66 UNCIRCULATED T oonie with the new Security Features. These new $ 2 T oonies are created with a Multi-Ply Plated Steel technology previously used by the Mint on lower denomination coins for years. The process covers a steel core with alternating layers of other metals like copper, nickel and brass. It results in a coin that is harder to counterfeit. In addition, the new Loonies feature an enhanced security feature in the form of a single laser mark of "Two" maple leafs. The security features is positioned within a circle on the coin's reverse.
