The auction is for a hand carved ICA STONE Replica. The ICA STONES are found in ICA (Peru) and they are a collection of andesite stones that bear a variety of diagrams including deciptions of dinosaurs and what is alleged to be advanced technology. Varying in size from that of a baseball to twice that of a basketball the stones are hand-etched with pictures of primitive fish, dinosaurs and indians using what appear to be tools of advanced technology. The actual stones are covered with a natural varnish that is created by bacterias over thousands of years. The etching is made by scraping away this dark varnish to reveal the lighter mineral beneath. According to some reports, examinations of the stones show that the grooves of the etching also bear traces of additional varnish indicating they are very old. It's a real mistery! Did ancient people coexist with dinosaurs? Did they have advanced technology? The replica for sale is been hand carved. It measures approximately 10x7 inches (26x19 cm).
