This version of the classic 4-4-2 Atlantic steam locomotive has the detailed plastic Reading coal tender with link coupler, plastic boiler and choo-choo sounds but no smoke, was available only in 1953, just before all engines and cars were changed over to knuckle couplers. It is a great runner and looks exceptionally good. It is shiny black, with crisp white graphics and no blemishes, scratches, chips or breaks to be seen. Everything is original except for the new carbon brushes installed in the motor. The corrugated cardboard sleeve is in very good condition as well, rather flattened of course, but no major tears or stains on it. The lettering of the label is clear and readable.
