This beautiful pattern dates back to time of the first Christmas Tree to be used in England, during the reign of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in the 1800's. Prince Albert was familiar with the tradition of bringing a fir tree into the home on Christmas Eve and decorating it with sweets and gifts, for the children of the family, in celebration of Christmas. This new tradition was quickly embraced by the British people and to commerate it, the English china manufacturer, Spode designed a new china pattern, "Christmas Tree". This wonderful china pattern has since been collected and enjoyed by families the world over at Christmas. This incredibly low pricr of $39.99 is for a Set of 4 (four) DINNER PLATES .
